Becoming: Beneath the Surface I

Becoming: Beneath the Surface I is part of a smaller-format continuation of the Becoming mini-series, which itself belongs to a larger body of work called In the Name of the Body.

The work explores transformation through materiality, layering, and texture. I used acrylic paint, plaster, and PVA glue, and I built up the surface to create a sense of depth, movement, and inner change. Colours shift and merge, reflecting vulnerability and the complexity of becoming, not as a single moment, but as a layered, ongoing process.
